Shower for Baby Julia

Ok, I'm hijacking my art blog so I can post baby shower pics to pinterest ;) I searched pinterest for weeks trying to find inspiration and there were a lot less helpful pins than you'd think. My cousin's healthy baby girl, Julia Thomas, was born on August 29th.

It's a girl

I searched all over etsy for a cute/inexpensive banner and the shop BostonsTerrior had "It's a girl" printed on thick cardstock for $8, she even added a "Gifts" banner for $4, both free shipping. https://www.etsy.com/transaction/1296478221

Baby Shower Brunch

Brunch was a hit: muffins (stackable cake plate from Target) doughnut holes, quiche, blueberry cream cheese crossaint bake http://www.the-girl-who-ate-everything.com/2013/02/blueberry-croissant-puff.html (not gfree but I heard it was amazing, super easy), ham and cheese crescent rolls, sausages, build your own parfait. Not picture: watermelon and cantaloupe, cinnamon roll coffee cake (subbed with gfree baking flour, so easy and was devoured) http://cakescottage.com/2017/04/12/easy-cinnamon-roll-coffee-cake/ Gotta give credit to Anna's other hostesses for making most of the food and helping put the whole shower together.

Hello World

I'm very excited to launch my new website and blog! I've been wanting to offer more than just social media content, but I try to avoid work on the computer at all costs. I'd rather be painting or anything else really..  like the dishes. But since my ungrateful cats turned down my offer to hire them as assistants (the dogs are already managing my husband) I'm making time for it myself. After all, there's a lot of ideas and inspiration floating around this blonde head and it needs an outlet!
